- SISTERLOCK CONSULTANT AUGUST 2008. I got sisterlocks in October of 2006. I craved a hairstyle that was manageable with my own hair. I searched the web for locks and sisterlocks popped up. I had never heard of sisterlocks, but soon as I saw the pictures I knew they were for me. I liked traditional locks, but I wanted the versatility of sisterlocks. This is the best thing I have ever done for my hair. It is manageable, natural and healthy. My experience with Sisterlocks has been 100% positive.
